Which trailers can be used with the hitch?
Our hitch is designed for bike trailers and handcarts, so you can safely transport shopping, luggage, or even children. In general, it’s important that the drawbar is designed for a height of approx. 20–50 cm, i.e., attached at the axle on a bicycle. Here’s a short selection of popular manufacturers:

How is the trailer hitch installed?
Installation is easy and uses only four screws, which are included. It can be attached in just a few minutes and removed again if needed. Take a look at our installation guide.
Do I need special tools for installation?
No, a standard wrench is enough, so you can install the hitch right away.
Is towing trailers with e-scooters allowed?
Short answer:
In Germany, towing trailers with e-scooters on public roads is currently not permitted.
If you violate this, you only risk a warning fine of €10 (source: Bußgeldkatalog.org).
👉 But: On private property—such as campsites, festival grounds, company premises, or private roads—our hitch can be used without any issues.
And: In many other European countries, e.g., Austria, towing trailers with e-scooters is already permitted.

We currently ship to all countries within the EU. Outside the EU, we offer purchasing from selected countries such as Switzerland, Norway, the UK, Canada, or Australia.

The hitch is made of powder-coated steel.
How safe is the hitch while riding?
Our hitch was developed specifically for a stable, secure connection. It stays firmly in place even on uneven ground and ensures the trailer doesn’t come unhitched unexpectedly.
How much weight can the trailer hitch pull at most?
The maximum towing load depends on the specific e-scooter model. In general, the hitch is suitable for transporting shopping, luggage, or children in an approved bike trailer.
Can I safely use a child trailer with the hitch?
Yes, as long as your bike trailer is approved for transporting children. Please note your e-scooter’s maximum load and the road traffic regulations in your region.
Is the hitch weather-resistant?
Yes, the hitch is made of high-quality, robust materials that hold reliably even in rain and wet conditions.
Can I use the hitch on multiple e-scooters?
Yes. If you own multiple e-scooters, you can easily attach the hitch to another model, as long as it’s a common model.

Is there insurance coverage when using a trailer?
Insurance coverage depends solely on your insurer’s individual policy terms.
Many e-scooter liability insurance policies include clauses that also cover trailers, provided that:
- the trailer is connected to the insured vehicle, and
- the trailer does not have its own liability insurance coverage.
Whether and to what extent this applies in a specific individual case can only be confirmed by the respective insurer. We cannot and may not provide any legal or insurance-related assurances.
